Explore the northern coast of Spain through vibrant cities, coastal villages, mountain sanctuaries, and charming medieval towns. This journey takes you from Gijón to Santander, ending in Madrid, with a carefully curated route that highlights the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and gastronomy of Asturias and Cantabria.

Arrival in Asturias and transfer to your hotel in Gijón. Depending on arrival time, lunch can be arranged en route. Spend the rest of the day settling in and enjoying a first walk by the sea before dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Gijón

Guided visit of Gijón, including Cimavilla (the old town), the marina, and the Universidad Laboral. Optional visit to the Roman Baths or Campa Torres viewpoint. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a traditional espicha with cider tasting and regional specialities. Overnight in Gijón.

Morning transfer to Cudillero, a colorful fishing village with amphitheatre-like architecture. Stroll through its narrow streets and enjoy the harbour views. Continue to Luarca, known for its white houses, lighthouse, and marine cemetery. Seafood lunch by the coast before returning to Gijón in the late afternoon. Overnight in Gijón.

Excursion to Oviedo, capital of Asturias. Visit the Gothic Cathedral of San Salvador and the pre-Romanesque churches of Santa María del Naranco and San Miguel de Lillo. Lunch in a traditional Asturian restaurant. Enjoy some free time at Plaza del Fontán before returning to Gijón. Overnight in Gijón.

Departure from Gijón and visit to Ribadesella, a seaside town known for its dramatic setting. Optional visit to the Tito Bustillo Caves (prehistoric art site) or a walk along the river and beach. After lunch, continue to your new hotel: a charming manor house nestled between sea and hills. Overnight in Luces.

Day trip into the Picos de Europa mountains. Visit the Sanctuary of Covadonga and its sacred cave. If weather permits, continue to the glacial lakes above for panoramic views. On the return, stop in Cangas de Onís to see the Roman bridge and explore the town. Overnight in Luces.

Depart Asturias and enter Cantabria. Morning visit to Comillas to explore its eclectic architecture, including Gaudí’s El Capricho. Continue to Santillana del Mar, one of Spain’s most picturesque medieval towns. Free time to wander its cobbled streets and artisan shops. Overnight in Santander.

Explore Santander, the seaside capital of Cantabria. Visit the Magdalena Peninsula, stroll along Sardinero Beach, and enjoy lunch at a seafood restaurant. Optional visit to the Centro Botín or the Altamira Museum. Overnight in Santander.

Morning transfer to Madrid by train or private vehicle. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore the capital’s historic center or unwind before your final day. Overnight in Madrid.

Private transfer to the airport at the agreed time. End of services.
